For a while I’ve been wanting to do a challenge of some sort to raise money for Mind but running is often involved and for those of you that know me well, running is not one of my strengths 😆
Walking on the other hand is something I love, it helps me to be present, to appreciate the world around me and brings me perspective. One of many things that helps my overall well-being and mental health. So I thought what better combination than doing a LONG walk in the Cotswolds (one of my favourite places) for Mind.
Over the past few years I have had my own ups and downs, like many people, and was fortunate to be able to afford therapy during those times which helped me enormously. However a lot of people my age are not so fortunate. By doing this 53km walk I hope to raise as much as possible for Mind so that more people can get the support they need.
Any donation is greatly appreciated!
And if this goes well, maybe I’ll try a run next time 😉
