The Extreme Goggins 4x4x48 · 7 November 2022

The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

During the November full moon I will be attempting the 4x4x48 Goggins Challenge - with a twist.

The challenge, created by David Goggins, dictates that you start a 4-mile walk/run every 4 hours for 48 hours. This sounds pretty tough - but not tough enough.

I will be aiming to achieve this along a rugged section of the South West Coastal Path and will be doing so fully solo, unsupported, totally outdoors and carrying all necessary equipment on my back from my first step - no resupplies or shelter to be utilised en route. My estimates are that my pack will weigh around 25kg (55lbs) at the start point.

The current plan is to start at midday on Monday 7th November in Penzance and head clockwise along the coastline eventually finishing near St Ives shortly before 10am on Wednesday 9th November.

I am aiming to raise £768 - which is equal to 4x4x48.

Keep up to date with the progress...
