A team of 19 Express employees are taking part in the Morrison's Manchester 10k Run to raise funds for Forever Manchester - one of the firm's nomianted charities.
In every neighbourhood across Greater Manchester thousands of people are actively involved in community activities or projects. There are over 20,000 community projects of varying sizes and interest that help support and positively interact with many of the 2.6 million population of Greater Manchester.
Forever Manchester strengthens communities and enriches local life by inspiring local people to do extraordinary things together.
Express Solicitors have supported Forever Manchester for the past year and our fundraising has helped numerous projects in the local area. The firm also gave out a number of £500 grants via Forever Manchester and Express employees have had the opportunity to get involved and volunteer at these groups.
One such group is 'The Generation Project' based in Wythenshawe. The group aims to reduce the impact of isolation and loneliness amongst elderley residents of the Wythenshawe community. The project offers befriending and one of the service users recently commented: "I have carers who pop in, my girls I call them, they are good to me but I am very lonely during the day especially in the evening. It's a long time from the last call in the morning and I only have the TV for company. I look forward to the volunteer from the Generation Project popping in - it makes such a difference."
Express Solicitors are proud to be supporting Forever Manchester - a local charity making a massive difference to numerous lives across our city.
All donations are greatly receieved and together we hope to make a difference to the people of Manchester.
