Story
The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. Anyone can hit crisis point. CALM run a free and confidential helpline and webchat 7 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone who needs to talk about life's problems.
CALM do incredible work supporting any person who needs suicide prevention support from their free helpline. CALM also help support societal change through their projects, some of these including "Project 84" "The invisible opponent" and "Comedy against living miserably".
But all of this comes at a cost. CALM states it costs £8 to answer just one phone call from somebody who needs that support. Without donations and support CALM may cease to exist and vital calls for help could go unanswered.
In order to support CALM and their mission to provide support for anybody who needs it and reduce suicide in young men across the UK I decided to join the MoneySuperMarket charity challenge this year.
This challenge sees us walking for a week in Jordan, Petra. (Including camping). Everybody who knows me will already know how this will be a massive struggle (I hate camping, and walking in desert conditions (never had to do it yet but I do just know)).
Any money you can donate can make a difference, save lives and spread awareness across the UK.
