Story
It's over now - 1000 miles in 22.5 hours. I set off at 6am on Saturday 19th June and returned to the finish line near Leeds at around 4.30am on Sunday 19th June. Similar to last year, it was something of an endurance event not just covering the distance but going without sleep for 24 hours. Anyway, it's all for a good cause with all proceeds going to the British Legion annual fund raising cause. Thank you for your support and donations.

Hi and thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
The Royal British Legion 1000 is a 1000 mile motorcycle rally, completed in less than 24 hours over the period 19-20 June 2010 (yes I did it last year!). The route will take me from Squires (Leeds), to Berwick, Edinburgh, Perth, Inverness, Wick, Fort William, Glen Coe, Glasgow, M6, across the M62 and back to Squires. We would like to:
a. Help set a new world record (if possible).
b. Gain entry to the Iron Butt Association.
c. Help raise awareness of the RBLR and the IBA.
d. Raise money for the Poppy Appeal by doing something that is both challenging and fun.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Royal British Legion gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So, if you can, please sponsor me :o) Ewan
