The clinical expertise and the skill of St John Ambulance volunteers make St John unique. Each of the St John clinical volunteers undertakes basic first aid training, often followed up with other specialist modules. The in-house training team remains constantly alert to the needs of the nation. Last year, to assist the national fight against Covid, St John developed and delivered in record time a new Care training module, teaching skills for handling Covid situations during the crisis and coping with the new environment beyond. By taking on a Green fundraising activity for St John this summer I can help St John make sure the volunteers can continue to be trained to best standard. I'm hoping to raise as much as possible to support this amazing cause. It costs around £100 to train each St John volunteer who will go on to support or care for 12 people during their time of need.
