We help the hospital offer a better future to seriously ill children across the UK

Story

At the start of this summer I made the decision that I wanted to take myself out of my comfort zone and also get fit. As I have always enjoyed running I felt that a half marathon would be both acheiveable and challenging, so after a little research I found the Cardiff half marathon and started training. This is also an amazing oppourtunity to raise money for a cause that has been close to my heart for a while now, GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital). I became aware of the amazing work this charity does after watching the BBC series that was shown earlier this year. Every week I was struck by the awe inspiring work the doctors at the hospital carried out on the young patients, and was truly moved by some of the stories shown. Great Ormond Street Hospital carries out pioneering medicine every day and is continuing to grow and expand. Every year they need over 50 million pounds to continue their research and refurbishment of the hospital. I really hope that by running this half marathon I will raise money for this amazing charity and make a difference to the children who are treated there. To support this worthwhile cause, please donate and sponsor me for taking part in the Cardiff half marathon on October 14th. THANK YOU so much for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page and if you can, please share with as many of your friends as you can. Thanks! Evie xxx
