In April 2024 I’m going to be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Chickenshed. Working as a Drama teacher and being involved in working with young people, Theatre really is the most powerful tool of communication and interaction. It is an opportunity to self-express, empowerment and learn about ourselves and the world around us at the same time. 

Chickenshed is a pioneering and inclusive company that makes beautiful and inspirational theatre. We bring together people of all ages and from all backgrounds to produce outstanding theatre that entertains, inspires, challenges and informs both audiences and participants alike.

Chickenshed support over 15,000 children and young people every year. Over 60% have experienced isolation and exclusion due to mental or physical ill-health, disability, bullying, gang pressure, interactions with the care system or being a young career their self. For many, Chickenshed is their safety net and second home. 

Every year Chickenshed need to fundraise 1.6 million to keep the company open. However much you are able to give, your support will make a different and really will change lives.
