Story
I am walking 5K with my family because my mum has had MS for 10 years. I wanted to walk so that I can help to raise money for a charity that I think is doing good things. My life is different to a lot of people's because my mum has MS, so I understand some of the ways it can affect families as well as the person with the disease.
MS affects people's central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). There is no cure. It can attack suddenly or progress steadily, causing symptoms that can include sight loss, pain, tremors, unusual sensations, fatigue and difficulty walking - or even speaking. No-one with MS can be sure when or how it will affect them next.Your donations will go towards life-changing MS research. Thank you!
