10.3 for 103 - Running for Yemen

10.3 for 103 - Running for Yemen · 20 June 2020
Hi I’m Eve and welcome to my JustGiving page for Save the Children Yemen Crisis Appeal.
I’m going to be running 10.3 km a day for two months for the 2 million innocent children currently living in Yemen expected to die of malnourishment.
Yemen is suffering the worst humanitarian crisis in 100 years- currently battling an epidemic, pandemic, famine and war.
The war has meant that more than half of the public buildings in Yemen such as vital hospitals no longer exist. The water supply, since the war, has decreased by a staggering 45% meaning mothers are unable to not only feed but nurse their children.
85,000 children under the age of 5 have already endured a slow and painful death from starvation. This is where you can help.
Donating to Save the Children through my page will ensure that these children receive the life saving aid kits and medical attention they need.
Just £30 could buy a package of therapeutic food, which could help a child recover from severe acute malnutrition. This means that if I reach my £600 target we can save 20 lives!!
As an 18 year old girl who has never gone a day without a meal I want to do my bit to help those who need it the most. You can do your bit too by donating through my JustGiving page meaning your details will be totally secure.
In total I’ll be running 628 kilometres in 61 days! It’s going to be a hard task, especially as an asthmatic and amateur runner but we all need to do our bit! My strava is connected so please feel free to keep up to date with my progress.
Please do not hesitate to get donating!
Thanks and I better go get my trainers on!
