*****

I am off to Asia to climb to the base camp of Mount Everest, the highest mountain on Earth to raise funds and awareness for children's education in Nepal through the work of Volunteer Service Overseas (VSO).  I will be joined on this adventure of a lifetime with a group of Accenture folks from all over the globe.

The trek to the Everest base camp is 18,192 feet/5,545 meters which is more than half the total elevation of the mountain and about half as high as passenger jets cruise.    Check out the YouTube video on the left to give you a better idea of what this trek entails.

Where is the money going?

You will be supporting the work of VSO in Nepal.  See here for the types of work they do:  http://www.vso.org.uk/about/cprofiles/nepal.aspThanks for helping the next generation of Nepalese reach their full potential.
