Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my just-giving page.
In March 2019, I will be taking on the ultimate winter sports endurance challenge of climbing the height of Everest on skis.
With a team of 10 others, we will be ascending 8,848 metres over four days, burning calories equivalent to completing 8 back-to-back marothons over the course of the challenge.
My inspiration is the plight of children with brain tumours and raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity. The funds will be invested into The Everest Centre, who carry out vital research.
I personally know a family that are facing their own challenge of having a child diagnosed with a brain tumour. Tanya and Rob Ritchie (Founder of Everest in the Alps) and their brave son, Toby. Their story will inspire and motivate me whilst on the mountain. The goal is simple, but the challenge is anything but.
