Story
In November last year we lost our close friend Chris Allison to suicide. We are doing a number of events in 2023 in memory of Chris and to raise awareness for mental health.
Bramham Park Duathlon (Sunday 2nd April 2023)
Ed Maharaj-Bennett completed the Bramham Park Duathlon which involved a 10km run followed by a 40km cycle and finished with another 5km run.

100km Run (Sunday 7th May 2023)
James McCartney ran the Leeds Country Way in a day. This was 105km (65miles) with 1500m (5000ft) of elevation and took 16 hours!

Leeds to Newcastle Bike Ride (Friday 11th - Sunday 13th August 2023)
Chris' close friends (see below) cycled from Leeds to Newcastle over 3 days via the Dales, Pennines and the UK's highest road climb. The total distance was 350km (220 miles) and 6,500m (21,000ft) of elevation.

Everest by bike (Thursday 24th August)
James McCartney cycled the height of Everest which is 8848m (29029ft) of climbing, in a single day. He climbed and descended the UKs highest road climb Great Dun Fell 14x in a row. He started at 3am, biked for 15hrs (18.5hrs total time) and completed a total distance of 212km (130miles).
200mile solo bike ride (Sunday 27th August)
Ed Maharaj-Bennett cycled an incredible 203miles (327km) solo from Berwick upon Tweed to Wetherby in torrential rain. He started at 4am, biked for 13.5hrs (16.5hrs total time) and climbed 2,725m (8,940ft).
15km Swim
James McCartney is going to swim 15km (9.3miles) in a pool. For some context that is 600 lengths of a standard 25m pool or 300 lengths of an Olympic 50m pool.
Great North Run (Sunday 10th September)
Amy Alison (Chris’ wife) and Paddy Alison (Chris’ father) will be running the Great North Run alongside Mel Clark and Luke McFadden on Sunday 10th September. For further details visit Amys’ Justgiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Amy-Allison7
Football Match (TBC in December)
Chris' friends and family will be playing a charity football match at the South Hunsley pitches in December. Supporters are welcome!
For those reading this who did not know Chris personally. He was one of the most unique people you could ever meet; witty, genuine, caring and passionate are just a few ways to describe this incredible man who touched so many people's lives.
Chris was an avid Football and Rugby League fan, a Leeds United & Hull FC supporter and a big part of the Fantasy Premier League community under the alias of 'FPL Bandit', followed by over 4000 people on Twitter.
