Below is a sampling of some of the major charity events taking place during the next few months of 2021. These are annual events, but the exact dates may change in 2022 and beyond.

APRIL

• Princess Ball

Benefiting Florida Hospital for Children, the annual Princess Ball will take place on April 30, 2022 at 6:00 pm at the Wyndham Grand Resort. This magical event strengthens the relationship between fathers and daughters while benefiting the programs at Children's Hospital.

The event features entertainment from professional ballet dancers, along with food, face painting, professional photography, a photo booth, carriage rides, and a silent auction featuring fine arts, jewelry, spa retreats, theme park tickets, and much more. In addition, princesses from our favorite fairy tales will attend.

MAY

• Race of the Chihuahuas

On May 1 , before Cinco de Mayo, Orlando Chihuahua owners can show off their beloved fur friends and prove they are more than just lap dogs. Cocina 214 is organizing the 4th annual edition of Chihuahuas and registrations are now open. Proceeds benefit Winter Park Lost Pets and A Cause 4 Paws Rescue.

Registration is $ 15 in advance or $ 20 at the door. Spectators can enjoy the event and the delicious $ 5 Frozen Rocks and Frozen 214 Margaritas, $ 3 Coronas and $ 5 Tones's Lonestar Lemonades.

• PULMONARY FORCE Running / Walking Orlando

Taking place on May 7, 2022 at Baldwin Park's Harbor View Park, the American Lung Association's LUNG FORCE Run / Walk is a charity walk like no other. Participants are encouraged to use their lungs in any way possible during the walk, such as singing, laughing, talking, and simply breathing. The funds raised are used for research, education, advocacy and awareness. This event is being co-produced by Motivation Ping who will provide us with a presentation on how to get motivated and achieve your goals.

• Audubon Baby Owl Shower

In what might be the cutest charity event of the summer, the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey will host a Baby Owl Shower on May 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. The event is free, but the Center requests gifts instead. of admission. 

Visitors to the shower will enjoy conservation-themed activities, up-close tours with raptors and an observation of the non-releasable orphaned raptors that are raised at the Center.

• National Conference on Food Allergy FARE

This event , which will take place from the 14 to the 15 May 2022 , brings together leading experts in food allergies in the country, as well as members of the community of food allergies, for a weekend full of education and programming world class . The annual conference provides a unique opportunity to connect with others who suffer from food allergies and learn about advances in research and advocacy. It is also a good place to gain practical skills for living well with food allergies.

• Walk to End Lupus Now and Wellness Expo

The Florida Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America is hosting an upcoming seminar and walk on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 4 pm and Lake Eola Park. The expo will focus on connecting lupus patients and caregivers with businesses and organizations in the area that offer services or products that are beneficial to people with the disease.

JUNE

• Wine Quest

Wine Quest at Loews Royal Pacific Resort takes place  on June 3, 2022  from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. and features more than 200 wines from around the world, incredible cuisine and auctions benefiting Quest, Inc., and the organization that aims to change the lives of people with developmental disabilities by helping them achieve their dreams of learning, living, working and playing.

JULY

• National Congress of Down Syndrome

Sponsored by the National Down Syndrome Congress, this annual convention welcomes more than 3,000 people to the JW Marriott Grande Lakes from July 21-24, 2022 . The convention gives people affected by Down syndrome the opportunity to meet their peers and participate in interactive workshops. Plus, attendees will get access to the latest information from experts from around the world.
