Hi! Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. 

As you may know, I am going to Uganda for three months in August. Whilst I'm there I'll be living in a community as a international volunteer. I'll be paired with a volunteer from Uganda (national volunteer) to work alongside for the three months. We'll be working on projects about relationships and sexual health, HIV/AIDs and the unemployment lots of young people are facing.

My fundraising isn't paying for me to go, it's not going to be spent on my flights, visa or vaccinations. This is paid for by UK Government Aid. My fundraising will go to Restless Development so that many more young people from all walks of life can have the chance to go and do what I am doing, all over the world. 

This is important to me as it means young people don't need money to go experience another culture whilst making a difference, they just need the drive to help others. Once I'm home again I'll be spreading the word and sharing my experience. My hope is to raise awareness of this type of volunteering which focuses on accessibility, cultural awareness and responds to what needs the community itself has identified.
