Thanks for visiting mine & Em's Just Giving Page.
Em & I are taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge along with many others that are also friends & family of Neil. Neil was & still is a huge inspiration to each & every one of us - he managed to complete the Three Peaks Challenge whilst battling through Cancer; so we are all wanting to do this for him & his amazing charity (which his family have set up!!)
Some of you may not know what the Three Peaks consists of... We will all be climbing up three mountains in under 24 hours - Ben Nevis, Scafel Pike & Snowdon. It is going to be a massive challenge, but if Neil could do it, then so can we!
I knew Neil through our teenage years, in which I got to know him quite well - he was one of the first to welcome me into the Rowing Club. There were a few of us that made quite good friends & when we had races around the UK, we would all spend a lot of time together - some races were over the weekend. He has always been a motivational person & that never left him - he loved helping other, so I am wanting to give that back to him & his amazing family!
Emily had known Neil for a long time; mainly through her brother Will, who one was of Neil's best friends (they even had a band together!!) Neil was part of their family & they all became good friends. A lot of the time Neil would go to their house & stay with them. Em is wanting to take part in the challenge as she really wants to support the charity as much as she possibly can - & this is our first of many tasks.
It will be chance for all of us that knew Neil, throughout different stages of his life, to get to know each other & share amazing memories that we all shared.
Thank you so much to all of you who will & have donated. Myself, Emily & Neil's family are extremely grateful.
Xxx
