The TeenTech Charity reaches thousands of young people across the UK, helping them understand exciting opportunities in science, technology and engineering and most importantly, their own potential to shine in those areas.
We work with young people from the age of 8-19, with a focus on those whose life choices may be limited, whether through gender, ethnicity, social background, differently abled, special needs. Our lively, highly interactive programmes change their perceptions and generate deep enthusiasm for learning.
We have a strong reputation for building effective, long lasting relationships between schools and local, national and global organisations, especially for students whose backgrounds mean they lack a network of contacts or informed parental support. Our students become powerful role models in their school and wider community.
Our impact is long lasting, schools report more students choosing STEM subjects (one reported a 300% increase over 5 years, another in Physics from 43% to 87.5%) and the teachers are better placed to provide context for learning after we have finished the project.
Parents and teachers describe TeenTech as “everything education should be from inspiring children to act on real life issues, letting them respond and build independently and then listening to their ideas and discussing their inventions.
