Story
In the year I turned 40 I thought it was about time I pulled my finger out and continued Dad's (Keith) legacy of running the London Marathon to raise vital funds for Blood Cancer UK (previously Leukaemia Research Fund - LRF) in memory of Rachel. Mum (Joan) and Dad sadly lost Rachel (the sister I never had the chance to meet) at the age of 6.
Mum and Dad spent years supporting LRF in many ways with Dad running many London Marathons in aid of the charity. I have never run a marathon before and throughout training I have found a new level of respect for Dad's running efforts and Mum's patience!!
I appreciate times are hard for many at the moment, but would greatly appreciate any support you can provide in the way of a donation to a incredibly worthy charity so close to my family's heart!
In Memory of Rachel and in respect and admiration for my parents in how they handled such a sad situation!

A bit more about Blood Cancer UK:
We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
