Story

https://handsupfoundation.org

Hands Up is a small and innovative charity begun by funding health and education programmes in Syria and now works in neighbouring countries too. They work directly with local organisations who know the needs and context of their local communities better than anyone.

At 4:17am on 6th February, as people lay sleeping, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck south east Turkey and northern Syria. Hands Up has launched an emergency appeal to raise funds for life-saving medication and supplies in both Turkey and Syria.

The full impact of this disaster is still not known. Communications are limited with network coverage reserved for emergency services. So far, more than 11,000 people have been killed, but that number is expected to rise significantly.

Please donate now and help save as many lives as possible in Syria and Turkey.
