Story
Hello and thank you for visiting my JustGiving page!
As you may have by now realised, on the 26th April 2015 I will be undertaking arguably my biggest challenge to date and will be joining thousands of other (similarly mad) people to run 26.2 miles around London.
For those of you who have known me a long time, you may remember my inability to run just one mile in school cross country without collapsing into a sorrowful heap. For those who have known me less long, well suffice to say, that it doesn't take much to realise my body probably isn't made for running marathons...
But I guess I like a challenge. And fortunately, with this challenge comes a huge opportunity for me to raise money for one of my long-time favourite charities. I'm sure Oxfam doesn't need much in the way of introduction but know that, whatever you are able to give - however small - will be going towards some of the poorest families and individuals in the world so that they can lift themselves and others out of the poverty they were born into. As most of you will know, this is something I am hugely passionate about - I've worked for and with Oxfam many times! Any money you can spare for sponsorship will be hugely appreciated and add that extra level of motivation that may be needed to get me running on those cold winter nights.
I will also love you forever if any of you are able to come and support on the day - I'll need it! And finally, if anyone has any advice for training/avoiding 'the wall'/stopping my toenails from coming off, then pleasepleaseplease do let me know :)
Thanks again,
Esther
