As you might know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, aka Pink October. 

This cause is very dear to my heart, and in order to raise funds to help find a cure for cancer, I’ve decided to run a minimum of 100km (62 miles) during October month.

Here is a bit of "my story":

I'm doing this in memory of my mum. 

She was 45 when she was diagnosed with her first breast cancer. She managed to get rid of it brilliantly. Then, at the age of 71, she didn't have the same "chance". Cancer was much stronger: mastectomy, chemo, and all possible side effects. She fought like a warrior during 18 long months, but in the end, cancer won. 

She was the best woman in my life. And she still is. I'm so proud of her. 

I miss you, Mum.
