Esmond's Esmond's 4 Peaks Challenge

Esmond's 4 Peaks Challenge · 27 August 2016
Hi Guys,
The aim of the event is to raise money to allow Fields of Life to drill 4 boreholes, providing clean, safe drinking water to the most vulnerable and marginalised people of East Africa. Drilling the boreholes will reduce the number of water related diseases and ultimately deaths; reduce the number of hours spent walking long distances to collect water. Collecting the water is usually completed by the young girls which means it interferes with their ability to attend school and also increases the risk of attack as they walk through remote areas to get water. The desire here is that young girls will be enabled to attend school and get a good education. Fields of Life are also involved with providing schools to these vulnerable communities also.
The Mountains we are going to climb in the space of 40 hours are:
> Slieve Donard (Down) 2,796 ft
> Mweelrea (Mayo) 2,688 ft
> Carrauntoohil (Kerry) 3,414 ft
> Lugnaquilla (Wicklow) 3,039 ft
