Story

Mountain Rescue Committee of Scotland page here, please donate to either charity to keep income balanced. Thank you!

So there's this guy called Rob - lovely bloke, loves climbing, loathes chalk.

Well, he recently decided it was a good idea to do some scrambling in Cuillin, Scotland - and Cuillin, worried that it's not beautiful enough to be memorable, decided to give Rob something to remember it by - in the form of a fall during one of his traverses.

Now, we at ESC all love Rob to bits, but we prefer him in one bit, rather than lots of little bits. Thankfully Mountain Rescue Skye managed to get to Rob quickly, and transported him to Raigmore Hospital which is a bit far away.

So now, in Rob's honour, we decided to raise a bit of money for the good work that Mountain Rescue do, by doing the one thing Rob can't do right now - a Relay Climb equivalent to the height of Mt. Everest.

That's basically 8,848 m (29,029 ft) of climbing we're going to do, probably more than Rob (or any of us) will ever achieve on our own.

As you can probably imagine, this is a bit hard, so if you're willing to part with a bit of your hard earn cash to support the great work that Mountain Rescue do, that would be ever so awesome.

So get your credit / debit card out. You help raise our sponsorship target, and we raise the bar of our climbing game. Videos and photos will no doubt be available to see afterwards.

Wish us luck, and speedy recovery Rob!
