Story
Hello!
Thanks for visiting my page.
As many of you know, I have a 9 year old son (Jack) who has special educational needs. IPSEA, the charity I am fundraising for, have given me lots of support with him.I would like to help them continue their valuable work, they really make a difference for children who can’t access the right education. If you scroll down a bit, you can read about more about IPSEA.
I am turning 40 in January and I want to run 40 kms to celebrate it. I have never run a marathon, but I love running and I am very determined to do it! So far, I have mixed experiences with running, including
- getting lost in the local park run on several occasions (with dozens of marshalls and 400 runners it looks impossible but I do find myself on my own around the lake and looking confused at the swans).
- missing the bus to the race (I was definitely in the right bus stop for more than an hour)
- going for a fancy dress run wearing a very heavy Christmas tree outfit and getting a nerve trapped in my bottom!
Because of this injury, currently I am resting and doing physio exercises by the Christmas tree (the real one, not the outfit:-).
I would be grateful if you could make a small donation, a fiver will do! I know you get asked for donations quite often and you can't always support everyone. Either way, I am grateful you spent some time reading about my fundraising and I wish you all the best!

IPSEA offers free and independent legally based information, advice and support to help get the right education for children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).Parents and carers are too often required to overcome barriers to secure educational support for their children, and are increasingly having to endure lengthy disputes with local authorities who are failing to deliver on their legal obligations. Support IPSEA to use the law to improve access to education for children and young people with SEND.
