Story
Thank you for visiting the Just Giving page for my mum, Erlinda Wyatt (née Lorenzo) - a much loved mother, wife, daughter and friend to many.
As most of you are aware, I unexpectedly lost my amazing mum on Sunday 14th February 2021. She was the glue that held our family together. Always with a smile on her face - no matter what life threw at us. We are all still in shock and the last few weeks have been incredibly tough. Whilst it still is hard for me to come to terms with the fact that she will no longer be a part of my life, I have been truly comforted by the kind words, cards and flowers sent by friends and all who knew her. As her passing was sudden, there were no plans in place, especially for the care of her mother, Lucia, and husband, Don who lost his sight in 2016 and suffers from vascular dementia – both of whom she devoted her time as an unpaid carer.
Due to the current restrictions, we have had to limit attendance to the funeral on Monday 22nd March. I know that my beautiful mum was loved and respected by many and there are so many of you that would like to pay tribute to her. In lieu of flowers for my mum, we would like to raise at least £1,000 for Carers UK. Donations will help support the millions of unpaid carers, like her, across the UK who are so often overlooked and struggle to access the support they need. Being an unpaid carer is tough; for many it can be frightening, intimidating, overwhelming and very lonely. For more information please visit www.carersuk.org to see how Carers UK strives to make life better for carers across the country. Monies that have been kindly shared already with me will also be added to this collection.
Please feel free to donate in memory of my mum, Erlinda. Any donation, no matter how small, will be gratefully received during this difficult time. We also hope to have an opportunity to celebrate my mum’s life sometime later in the year when we can meet up with friends.
Thank you again for all your support - maraming maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat! 💖🙏💖
