Story
On 25th March 2018 I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Last year Simon’s grandad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and it has been an extremely difficult time for all the family.
Alzheimer’s affects over 850,000 people in the UK alone. It causes severe memory loss, confusion, anxiety, and personality changes. There is no cure and it gets worse over time.
I am fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society because they are working hard to find a cure for this horrible disease as well as providing support to people affected by dementia.
Although this is my second half marathon it has been years since I have run this far and it’s still a daunting challenge. Especially as I am training in the UK winter for the first time! I will keep this page updated with how my training is going.
Please give what you can—every pound makes a difference. Your support will help get me through the 13.1 miles and over the finish line!
Thank you so much,
Erin
