Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Mike is doing it again and taking part in the Great North Swim In Lake Windermere on 13th June. He will be swimming 5km to raise money for Aching Arms in memory of Erin, who passed away aged 22 days on 1st December 2011. Erin had Turner Syndrome and was born with a congenital heart defect.
Aching Arms is a wonderful charity run by bereaved mothers to bring comfort to other bereaved parents. In some ways the idea of giving a bear to a bereaved mother to ease their aching arms seems simple, but the emotion and meaning behind it makes it so much more than that. You can read about how much the bear given to Erin's parents by Aching Arms means to them by visiting their blog http://erinsgift.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/today-i-got-received-some-comfort.html. For every £10 that is raised an Erin bear will be donated to help give comfort to another bereaved parent.
