We fund life-changing and life-saving work to support cancer patients at The Christie

Story

Hi! Thanks for taking the time to read our story.

My name is Erin and I’m raising money for the Christie in memory of my nana - Gereldine. Nana passed away in mid October last year at the start of my final year of college. Her passing wasn’t sudden but we were shocked to hear it was of cancer. Due to lockdowns it wasn’t able to be picked up sooner and treated.

Cancer being detected and treated quickly and accurately is imperative for effective treatment and saving lives. The Christie offer treatment and care  beyond what the NHS is able to fund, while offering emotional support too. This enhanced treatment, working alongside the NHS, as well as their groundbreaking research saves lives globally.

1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime and supporting the Christie will help support you and your loved ones in any treatment, should they need it.

Completing 100 miles is a distance I would never have thought of cycling, and it will be a challenge, but I’m absolutely committed to it! I have no doubt we’ll be facing issues along the way, but the focus is September 11th and completing this challenge!!

Note: Donating through JustGiving is totally secure. Your details arenever sold on and no emails are sent. Once you donate, your money gets sent directly to the Christie. It saves time and cuts costs for the charity!
