My Bristol to Paris Cycle Challenge 2020
Erika Klimekova is raising money for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity (previously Above & Beyond)
Story
I have been working at the Bristol Children’s hospital for over 3 years. During this time I have seen what children and their families go through when staying in hospital, both physically and emotionally. I have also noticed the impact of the Above & Beyond charity. They have continuously improved patients’ experience whilst in hospital by for example:
• upgrading & redeveloping wards and spaces
• new technology • staff training
This is of course very costly, and the funds provided by NHS are not enough. So, to help them carry out their amazing work, I have entered the Bristol-Paris cycle challenge in September 2020 aiming to raise £2,000!! This is my first time ever fundraising experience, and I am going hugely beyond my comfort zone. However, I am convinced that it will massively improve the hospital, where more lifes can be saved on a daily basis ❤️❤️
