I will be running the Robin Hood Half Marathon on Sunday 25^th
September for Footprints. Many of you will know why this wonderful charity is so close to my heart and why this particular event is so special. Although I’m not new to running half marathons, it has been quite a while and this years is certainly a special one for me. It was 20 years ago in June when I got my first job as a Conductor in Footprints (then called School for Parents) and I have been privileged to be part of this amazing organisation ever since. 20 years on, I still look at each day as a new opportunity to practice and develop what I love (being a Conductor) and an absolute honour to be meeting the most
amazing children, inspirational parents and families and being part of their unique journeys. This year also marks the 20^th anniversary of Footprints becoming and independent charity, making this event even more memorable for us all.  

To celebrate these special anniversaries, I have decided to complete
the Robin Hood half marathon as part of our fantastic team of runners. Having suffered from knee injuries in the previous years, it’s been a long and effortful journey for me to get back to running and especially to be able to run longer distances that will allow me to run at a reasonable pace and not have to walk. 😊

Thank you very much for your kind support and donations for
making this a successful event for me and a fundraising opportunity for Footprints, so that they can support many more families. I am hoping to raise £1000 (so, yes please add Gift Aid) to provide vital funds towards supporting our uniquely amazing children. To help me keep focused throughout, I would like to invite people who could sponsor me to consider dedicating their donation to a person
close to their heart, so I can nominate each km to someone special. Also, if you wish to share one of your favourite songs with a good beat, I would love to include it in my running playlist on the day.🏃‍♀️
