We work with individuals and communities to end homelessness in Scotland

Story

I'm part of a team of four who are going to be working in a Bethany Christian Trust charity shop on Tuesday and Wednesday (13th and 14th June) as part of an Apprentice Challenge set up through my work.  Murray, Kelly-ann, Aileigh and myself are the team put together to build our project in order to help this wonderful cause.

At first it seemed like it would be a fun thing to do as part of our work, but after learning what the charity is really about and how much of a difference it makes to so many people it became clear that we really wanted to get stuck-in and do what we could to contribute something and make a difference to people who are not so fortunate as ourselves.

BCT services focus on preventing homelessness as well as alleviating the suffering of people who are homeless.

They provide tailored visiting support and community development. They also support individuals and families to help them address long-standing issues including: social isolation, unemployment, and drug addiction.

PLEASE give generously to such a fantastic cause to show support for people who need it more.

If anyone wants to come along to the event to show support, you're more than welcome.  We're based at Stockbridge.  46 Hamilton Place, Edinburgh. EH3 5AX.

Any items to be auctioned or sold in the shop are also welcome.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Erik
