Davids Divas.....Let me introduce you and a little bit about why I am asking you to sponsor me.

Back in the 70's a group of girls became good friends at Appleton Hall County Grammar School - now 6 of those girlies - now "women of a certain age" - Myself, Mandi, Sara, Donna, Andrea and Denise are taking part in the "Starlight Walk" - although I love seeing my friends and i am sure we will chat and laugh through the night the reason behind our evening is tinged with sadness

Earlier this year Mandi lost her younger brother David after he was diagnosed with secondary liver cancer last September. It was completely out of the blue, he wasn't a drinker or smoker and was a fit and healthy man with a love of the outdoors.

He was always Mandis little brother to us when we were all growing up back in the 70's, and we wanted to do something to remember him by and support Mandi. So we are donning our walking shoes and lots of pink and taking part in the "Starlight Ladies Walk" at midnight on Friday 17th June and not only will we be walking in his memory but we will be supporting St Roccos (my local) hospice which offers care and support to families finding themselves in often tragic circumstances

Its an all ladies walk and I am sure there will be lots of chatting - I know there will be amongst Davids Divas
