Vickie was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leaukemia on September 4th 2012, she also had a mutation called FLT3 , this basically meant that she had a rare form of the disease. This disease is an old persons leaukemia and there were only 1000 young people of vickies age (24 years) in the UK, and a third of these youngsters had FLT3, Vickies first chemo failed and her only chance was a bone marrow transplant. A donor from america was found and Vickie had her transplant on Christmas day 2012. By April 2013 she was in remission, she kept herself busy helping her sisters arrange our 40th wedding anniversary when we renewed our vows. In September 2013 she was told that she had relapsed and that there was nothing more they could do, for the last three months she fought so hard to beat it, but it wasn't to be, she died in our arms on Tuesday 10th December 2013. Thank you all for coming on here and making your donation in memory of Vickie, God bless xxxxx Eric & Lynn Harvey
