They say, it's that word, Cancer. It scares people. I don't think anyone can intake the realisation of Cancer until they have been through it themselves or they have a close friend or family member that has gone through it.

My gran won her battle to the C word but lost her breast, regardless she beat it! She was so brave and my perfect role model. Sara.

This year I watched one of my best friends Gran go through the exact same thing. Without Cancer research they both might not have been so lucky so by sponsoring me, we can unite and create a force that cancer can't ignore. Sara.

Almost two months ago I came home from work and was told the news that my Nan - The most inspirational woman in my life - had Breast Cancer. Fortunately, my Nan had the lowest grade and it was caught before it got worse. My Nan went through approximately two hours of surgery. She had the Cancer Cells removed. A week and a bit later, we were told the best news of 2013 - My Nan recived the All Clear from her GP - She had beaten cancer. My Nan is now much more outgoing and happier within herself. My Nan is beginning to start her Radiothearapy. If the Doctor wasn't able to remove all the Cancer, or if the Cancer wasn't picked up till a later date then this story could be different. Emma.

Research Kills Cancer. Donations fund research. This is why we are taking part in Race for Life 2014, because without the hours and hours of research that is carried out, without the screening tests without the employability skills for Breast Cancer care and without the skilled Surgeons, Emma's Nan may not be here today.
