Story
It is not unknown to many that as a child I suffered with severe seizures through my diagnosis of epilepsy. As I have grown up I have been lucky enough to be seizure free for the past 7 years, up until recently. We’re not certain on the cause, however I have now been re-diagnosed with active seizures. Many people aren’t aware of the limitations that Epilepsy can have on someone’s life. For me, I feel like I’ve had some of my independence taken away, I’m now unable to do basic everyday things such as driving or riding a bike due to the dangers it can cause to myself or others.
I know we’re very last minute with only 6 weeks until the Midlands Tough Mudder on 21st May, however Charlotte, Jess and I are raising as much money as we can for the Epilepsy Society. This organisation is the UK’s leading provider of epilepsy services, working on new research to understand the condition further, heading up awareness campaigns and providing expert care for those affected.
Any help towards raising some monies towards the research behind Epilepsy will mean the world to all of us.
Thank you so much in advance everyone.
