Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in memory of my lovely boyfriend, Magnus.
I am holding a charity evening on the 27th February 2010 at 7.30pm at my school hall. The evening will consist of a fast and furious Beetledrive(!), a raffle and refreshments. I am asking that people pay £5 per ticket for their place at the Beetledrive. (Please contact me if you would like tickets). Tea, coffee and wine will be available and everyone will be asked to make a donation of their choice towards this on the night.
If you are able to donate a prize for the raffle, be it a bottle of wine, chocolates, a plant or whatever you can, I would be very grateful! Please let me know, if you are able to do this.
If you are unable to attend but would still like to donate money towards Epilepsy Bereaved, then thank you in advance.
I chose to raise money for Epilepsy Bereaved as I myself, have received help from the charity's support service since Magnus's untimely death last April. I also believe that there is a need for greater awareness of SUDEP within the public domain and obviously funding into SUDEP research is vital. The majority of people who pass away are young, tend to be male and aside from their epilepsy, are normally healthy, fit individuals.
Just so you know:-
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you so much for donating and I look forward to seeing you on the night! Lisa xxx
