Story
After a shock diagnosis of Rhabdomyosarcoma Zachary Evans (Beanie) embarked on a brutal treatment plan that saw him face a number of devastating side effects. Unfortunately even such intensive chemotherapy was no match for what was growing inside his tiny body.
On 22nd April 2020 he passed away at just 2 years old.
As friends and family we are devastated by this enormous loss. All we have left is to battle on raising money and awareness to ensure that children that will have to fight this illness have a better chance than Zac did.
Our donation will be going directly to Alices Arc a registered charity made up of families like beanies, funding research into Rhabdomyosarcoma.
A little more about Alice's Arc
Alice’s Arc was inspired by Alice's journey with cancer. She was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma at age 3 in March 2015. She had 20 months of chemotherapy at GOSH, UK and proton radiation in the US. Alice spent a year cancer free but it returned in February 2018. She underwent 6 months of chemotherapy and a procedure known as AMORE in Amsterdam involving surgery and brachytherapy. Alice spent another year clear before tumours were found in her abdomen and pelvis in July 2019. There were no options left. Alice died, aged 7, in October 2019.
