Story
When I ran the enigma marathon for Ian I had no idea I would be adding to this page at all never mind in the space of a few months...
I lost my Grandad, William Ellis, in September to cancer and on coming out of the hospital to live at home with mum, dad and the family I saw on a daily basis how much difference the treetop nurses made for our family providing much needed support to my mum and dad and much love, care and compassion to grandad and the whole family.
Treetops nurses really are an amazing service that work so hard to offer the opportunity for cancer patients to live at home after hospital and be with their loved ones being treated with care, love and dignity
Each of your donations will go towards more treetops nurses giving more love, care and support to those who desperately need it, it's that simple.
Thanks X

I am running the Enigma Gold marathon in honour of Ian Blurton who passed away on the 3rd August 2013.
Those of you who know me know that I'm no stranger to marathons and though I have fundraised in the past for charities I have supported strongly this is the first time I have ran for something so close to heart and home.
Treetops hospice have provided such love, care and support to Ian and Zandra in his last days being so understanding, kind and professional and taking the time to listen to their wonderful love story and help Zandra come to terms with the unforseen loss that awaited her.
I have known Ian for over 12 years and have enjoyed getting to know Ian better in the four years he has been married to Zandy as you all well know this amazing lady brought the absolute best out in him.
Thanks for taking the time to read my page and donate
