Story
Hello there!
We are Enigma Events:MCR, and together with Salford Pride, Salford CVS, Salford City Council, and Forever Manchester, we're putting on The Digital Diversity Festival!
On the 15th and 16th of May, we'll be running a two-day festival full of performances, music, panel shows and discussion, all to increase awareness and encourage better representation of underrepresented communities within the LGBT+ space.
18:00 PM - 20:00 PM - 'A Celebration of Diversity' Livestream - Facebook Live
Showcasing LGBT+ talent on Facebook Live. With performances by Juno Birch, fabulous Amrick Channa, Val Queda and many more. This will be an exciting introduction to kick the festival off!
20:00 PM - Onwards - 'Diversify: The Digital Club Night Experience' - Zoom
Carry on the celebrations and dance the night away, with tunes by DJ Valentino. This afterparty will allow viewers to hop onto Zoom and socialise with like-minded members of their community with a chance to boogie!
12:00 PM - 14:00 PM - Salford City Radio Takeover - 94.4FM
Tune into Salford City Radio as we takeover the airwaves, where we’ll be playing tunes from our favourite LGBT+ icons, with exclusive updates and interviews from across the festival!
17:00 PM - 18:00 PM - 'Diversity Discussion' - Zoom
We’ll be sparking a discussion and challenging representation within the LGBT+ community. Expect insightful conversations from special guests, and the chance to participate directly and get all the answers at our Q&A section, moderated by a prominent speaker from the LGBT+ community.
But we need your help!
We're raising money so that Salford Pride can continue to build a stronger, diverse community that celebrates diversion and equality; where LGBT+ people can be represented, can thrive and live authentically in our city and beyond.
Please consider donating anything you can to a brilliant cause!
It doesn't stop there!
We're still completing five walks across Greater Manchester!
Five trails, five weeks, a collective total of 200 kilometres walked (that's 50km each person!). Each walk will start in a different spot in Greater Manchester or Cheshire, and will all end up in the same place; Salford.
Along each of these walks, we'll be recording vlogs, posting updates and sharing our trip with you. We'll be discussing the importance of LGBT+ acceptance of all communities, not just the ones you see on the telly! You'll be able to follow along our journey on JustGiving, as well as on our Strava.
