Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I successfully completely the Bungay Black Dog Half Marathon on April 19th to help raise funds for the UK team to get to Brisbane and compete in the World Transplant Games
I qualified to represent the UK team when I took three gold medals representing Papworth Hospital at the British Transplant Games in Sheffield last August, 2008.
Team funding is not available so to make this possible I need to raise money to help with expenses to get me and other team members over to the games in Australia.
My target is to win three gold medals at the World Games and to help me with this I train regularly with the City of Norwich Athletics club. As well as this I go to my local gym three times a week which will hopefully give me that extra edge over my competitors.
I received my new heart on April 3rd 2006 and since then I have ran the Flora London Marathon twice, as well as the Bupa Great South run raising over £2000 for TSUK and the Cardiomyopathy Association charities.
Thank you all SO MUCH for your kind donations so far. Myself and the other UK team members really appreciate it. I still have a bit to go to reach my target so for those of you who haven't donated remember that the recession is just a conspiracy theory so grab your wallets and help with this great cause! = )
