Help Fatou access English classes

Fatou* is a French-speaking asylum seeker living in the UK. Originally from West Africa, Fatou was forced to flee due to a violent situation at home. With very limited funds, she can’t afford the childcare needs to attend English classes and access a full life in the UK.

As well as suffering from poor mental health, Fatou lives with a serious and lifelong physical health condition.

Several supporters helped her raise money to pay for childcare so she could go to college to learn English whilst her case for asylum was being heard

PLEASE NOTE THAT FATOU HAS NOW BEEN GRANTED ASYLUM- LEAVE TO REMAIN -AND IS ANXIOUS TO CONTINUE HER STUDIES SO SHE CAN EVENTUALLY FIND EMPLOYMENT/A PROFESSION.

Because of her status she will now be able to get help with childcare from the government and from the college she is attending but she will still need a small amount to tide her over till that is forthcoming. She is now half way through the academic year and her baby has settled into the nursery well thanks to your donations.

We just need that final push so her studies can continue without interruption

If you’re able to donate, you’ll help to give Fatou and her family the opportunity of a better future in the UK.
