Story
March is Endometriosis Awareness Month! Join ENDEndoCLE as we work to raise awareness and funds to fight this terrible disease.
One in 10 women suffer from endometriosis, which means most likely someone in your life is familiar with this disease. Endometriosis is also a difficult disease to definitively diagnose: on average, it takes each woman 5-10 years and several visits to many different doctors in order to finally understand why they have been suffering from issues like severe abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, abnormal and/or continuous bleeding, painful sex, constipation, nausea, extreme fatigue and difficulty getting pregnant. The cost of these doctor visits is not always covered by insurance, and many women must also travel several miles and endure long waiting lists before finally seeing a specialist who can help.
Donations from this fundraiser will benefit The Endometriosis Foundation of America, an organization which strives to increase disease recognition, provide advocacy, and fund landmark endometriosis research. Engaged in a robust campaign to inform both the medical community and the public, the Endofound places particular emphasis on the critical importance of early diagnosis and effective intervention while simultaneously providing education to the next generation of medical professionals and their patients.
While ENDEndoCLE is based in Cleveland, OH, we welcome fundraisers from around the globe! We are also hosting a virtual walk on March 27 & 28, 2021 - please visit our website (endendocle.com) or our Facebook and Instagram pages for more information on this upcoming event.
