Story

UPDATE 31-7-12.

A huge thank you to everybody that has supported us in what has been an epic journey. We have had all the fantastic financial support and also support from people behind the scenes.

Although part of the team, special thanks go out Billy. Billy was single handedly responsible for feeding us, transporting us & rallying the troops in the dark hours of the morning when sleep deprivation was really kicking in. He became the master of power naps and could be sound asleep within 5 seconds of turning the ignition off. A second huge thank you goes to Richard & Jenny for the loan of the motorhome, without which the trip would not have been possible. Throw in the thought of 5 smelly blokes on a 2000 mile road trip and you can understand why it was a huge ask!

We managed to complete the ride in a speedy 52 hour: 6 mins: 40 seconds, raising to date just under £8,500 for Macmillan along the way.

What next? Onwards & upwards!!

Martin, Richard, Stewart, Adrian & Billy.

o  Thanks for taking the time to visit the Ena Shaw LEJOG (Lands End to John O Groats) JustGiving page.

A 4-man relay cycling team, led by our MD Richard Potter, is going to attempt to complete the Lands End to John O’Groats journey, non-stop in under 3 days.

Lands End to John O Groats is a well-trodden path, certainly for fundraising, however the team at Ena Shaw have decided to speed things up a little. Led by Richard Potter, our 4-man cycle team will also include Stewart Dwyer, Martin Potter and Adrian Lomas and we will be ably supported by top chef and driver Billy. We are attempting to complete the journey in a little over 2 days - 55 hours to be precise!

Starting from Lands End (weather dependent) on Friday 22nd June 2012, we will take it in turns to ride our bikes all the way up the country in a relay style, without any stops, covering over 900 miles. Herein lies the bit where we need your support - we are not doing this just for the fun of it; its our aim to raise over 10,000 for the wonderful MacMillan Cancer Support charity. Every £191 we raise pays for 1 Macmillan nurse for 1 day so please visit www.justgiving.com/ena-shaw-lejog  to show your support.

You will be able to follow our progress and feel our pain on twitter @enashawlejog. We will also have a great live tracker that you can access at  www.enashaw.co.uk/community/lejog

Thank You Very Much.

Martin & Richard Potter.
