Story

Emmy’s Tigers’ – Team of ‘19

We will now be walking on Sunday 19th May due to the event being cancelled in March. Lets hope the sun shines for Team Tiger !!!

Emmy’s Malmesbury team of 2019,
Have chosen to march with a tigers’ theme,
Inspired by the t-shirt colours of orange and black,
And Emmy’s great tiger look – there’s no going back!

Remembering wonderful Emily all the way,
Will keep us going throughout the day,
Whatever the weather we’ll be there,
Dressed as tigers – we don’t care!?

We’ll be walking through London for 15 miles,
And ‘Emmy’s tigers’ will be full of smiles,
Maybe a few less towards the end,
But constantly thinking of our dear colleague and friend.

We want to help those amazing people with all their research,
To find a cure for cancer, an ongoing search,
But we’ll try in the meantime to do our little bit,
By raising some money and trying to keep fit!

So thanks in advance for any donations,
To support the Marsden’s work with future generations,
And to help remember Emmy and all of those others,
We’ve lost to cancer: parents, children, sisters and brothers.

So come on ‘Emmy’s tigers’ – team of ’19,
Let’s go fight cancer – forever the dream!
But for now – know that we can find,
Plenty of time to ‘Smile, Love and Be Kind!’

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
