Hi all!

On September 7th both of us will be running the Great North Run on behalf of Crohn's and Colitis UK.  I currently volunteer for Crohn's and Colitis UK as part of the Hadrian Group.  The charity raises awareness of Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, and provides support and financial assistance in particular to families struggling with supporting children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

The charity does amazing work for people with IBD as it provides a support network where people can discuss their illness with each other.  For me, Crohn's and Colitis UK has made me feel like I am not alone and has given me a community of people who really understand what I am going through.

As I have Crohn's Disease and associated joint pain, I will be walking and running the Great North Run.  Lee will be by my side cheering me on and ready to carry me should it come to that!
