On the 21st May I’ll be running the Great West Run half marathon for Age UK Exeter in memory of both my Mums -  I’m lucky to have had two!

Having previously lost my mum to PSP and now my ‘step mum’ to Alzheimer’s, both of which are hideous diseases involving a lot of care and unknown territories.

I chose Age UK as they provide a fantastic service offering advice and support for older people, their families and carers and those living with Dementia & Alzheimer’s.

Having had experience of what Alzheimer’s does I know how hard it is for the carer, the person living with it and their families and equally with those living with PSP, an unknown form of Parkinsons.
