Story

I have been volunteering for HomeStart Glasgow South for the past year and a half. I found the charity when I was struggling postnatally, but unfortunately lived outwith the catchment area. I did receive help from other services though, and now a decade into parenting I wanted to give back somehow to other families struggling. I chose HomeStart because the work they do is absolutely invaluable, and is not replicated by any other service. It also gave me a insight into families lives and barriers - that have been great CPD for my professional role as Principal Teacher of Early Years. Volunteering for HomeStart has enhanced my life in ways I couldn't have imagined. My confidence has grown, professional knowledge grown and I have been inspired not only by the amazing staff - but also the strong and inspiring families I have worked with. Please spare anything possible so we can help ensure HomeStart can continue with their amazing work. Thank you X X X
