Hi everyone! Thank you so much for considering donating to Action Medical Research as I run the London Marathon 2023. 

Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research. Almost everyone has been touched in some way by their ground-breaking work, like the first polio vaccines in the UK, ultrasound in pregnancy and the rubella vaccine.

Your donation will go towards the incredible work the charity does to fund research towards cures for rare diseases in children, premature birth and pregnancy complications and childhood cancers, amongst many other research projects AMR supports. Up until the age of 21, I despised running and anything remotely fitness related. I have my very patient fiancé and mum to thank for persevering with me and getting me to run to the end of the road, then 1k without stopping, a 5k park run, then a 10k, and eventually a few halves. The idea of a marathon still seems terrifying, but I’m so excited for the challenge, and the buzz of the London Marathon race day. Hopefully the donations and amazing charity cause will get me over the line!
