I can't believe the marathon is nearly here. When I got my place back in October I felt like it was a life time away - how fast time flies. Little did I think I would end up with pneumonia, lose 7 weeks of training and have to start all over again!!! There were times when I really wasn't sure I would make it. Anyway all is looking good now and 4 pairs of running shoes later .......
The picture shows how good I'm looking now.
I’m running the 2009 London Marathon to raise money for Whizz Kidz, a charity that is all about giving disabled children and young people the independence to enjoy an active childhood – at home, at school and at play - by providing them with customised mobility equipment, training, advice and life skills. It makes an immediate and life changing difference to their lives and their families. There are 70,000 disabled children and young people in the UK in need of Whizz Kidz’s help. I can't think of a better reason to drag myself around 26 miles and would be very grateful for any sponsorship donations.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Whizz-Kidz gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
