Story
Last Christmas, we asked that no presents were given to the staff. Although we appreciate your generosity, we felt that a donation to local food banks was the best gift that you could give to us. Your response to that request was tremendous. We are very aware that the People’s Kitchen does some remarkable work and their moto, ‘We are not here to see through one another; we are here to see one another through’, is particularly pertinent at Christmas for people who may be alone and experiencing a difficult time. This Christmas, we also ask that no presents are given to the staff, instead, we wish to support the People’s Kitchen and have set up a just giving page as we can currently not accept food donations.
The People's Kitchen state that "We can provide a three course meal for just £5 and all of the associated support that goes with it. If you can donate, it would be a tremendous Christmas gift to our Friends.”
Any Emmaville families (or friends) who would wish to make a monetary donation can do so.
Everyone at Emmaville and the People's Kitchen thank you all for you kindness and generosity.
